I don't know how to add a pic here I do have a pic on my page with a 37 pound northen pike. THe fish fight great but the equipment sucks. I do have pics on my steam page catching some nice fish with that pole and reel. Now I hook one and it takes the line out over 600 feet then reel breaks this is the third time it happen when are you devs going to give us the right pole and reels for float fishig and casting I think I wasted money on the St.pattys day dlc. pattys day dlc was reeling in 36 pound pike. Originally posted by flyeneagle:I was useing the St. If I have the wrong setup blame it on the devs cause its the St.pattys dlc and when I put it together it said it was optimizes so my guess is that its a match set but IRL I did get spooled more than once. with the right gear it happens very rarely. OK thanks for that helps some, I guess I need ligher line for my reel then, apparently 6 pounds or less for a 6 pound drag?įunny because in real life we usually use 8 to 12 pound test for pike, but these are river pike which usually don't get 40+ inches that often. if you gety unlucky and hit a big fish WITH the strength rolled to full (like my poor 16lb which left me 22ft of line before I stopped it:P) you're busted. a 16lb fish pulling WAY harder than a 27lb trophy of the same kind. That being said the "fish pull strength mechanic" is a bit farbot. that's normal untill you get a 30/35lb set. lvl 18 in cali getting spooled on Striped bass. Just means we/you do not have the right gear. As thigns are now some fish are VERY hard to land or even worse. If you don't make the line the weakest point of the set things will happen.Ģ. If your reel breakes -> you've got the setup wrong. Originally posted by Bosman Rosh:Two points:ġ.
